Vizcaya is unlike any other place in Florida. It was built between 1914 and 1923 by International Harvester magnate James Deering to be a self-sustaining Mediterranean-style estate. He needed it for his health, and to have the most baller status in 1910s South Florida.
The house itself is incredibly stunning. Centered around a 3 story atrium, filled with palm trees and light, you find yourself imagining dancing parties and witty conversation, the rise of the 1920s and the fall of the 1930s.
