Fort Wilderness is Disney’s campground! It is located very close to the Magic Kingdom, next door to the Wilderness Lodge.

Fort Wilderness is absolutely phenomenal. True, it is pricey, but that’s a little to-be-expected for Disney. It sells out many months in advance, so if you are interested in going, book now for next year!

What is there to do there? There are various “swimmin holes” aka pools, biking paths (not really trails, more like sidewalks), outdoor movies, volleyball courts, a dog park, playgrounds, a restaurant, a horse stable, and Hoop D Doo Revue which should be coming back soon!

You can also take the boat straight to Magic Kingdom from the marina.

Many people rent or bring a golf cart to go “looping” which means driving around the golf cart in loops. It doesn’t sound fun but it is!

Here are some shots of Fort Wilderness. I took these during our Christmas trip, but these showcase Fort Wilderness’s rustic charm that is year-round. It’s a great campground and truly magical!

I hope you enjoy the photos.

This is Disney’s euphemism for a bathroom 🙂

As always, Fort Wilderness was an amazing time and cannot wait to go back!
