Disney is….there are no words. It’s incredible. The magic. The attention to detail. The total immersion into a world of fantasy, adventure, and imagination.
Yeah, it’s cheesy. Yeah it’s overdone and overpriced. But cmon don’t be that person who’s all like “Disney’s too overdone and overpriced.” Just embrace it for what it is. Pure, unfiltered magic.
There is waaayyyyy too much to cover here for one post, choose an item below to help narrow it down. (If there’s nothing to click, it means we haven’t written it yet, so stay tuned, it’s coming asap, promise!)

Magic Kingdom
Ahh, the great Magic Kingdom. Where Disney in Florida started. Walt Disney, with the help of some made-up companies (was EVERYTHING in this man’s life fantasy?), began purchasing the super cheap central Florida land to build Disneyland II. It was a super top-secret but secret’s out, Walt. It’s the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios has been the recipient of most of the updates in Disney in recent years: Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. All epic and amazing. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for this park, with its old Hollywood feel, plus the attractions featuring some of the greatest stories from Disney, Pixar, and now Star Wars.

Epcot
Yet another park I have a soft spot for. I remember going here as a kid, and despite it being about things like “science” and “countries”, it still kept kids and adults alike enthralled. Now as an adult, I can enjoy events like the Food & Wine Festival, or just enjoy my own food and wine festival around the park. There is something about the transition from the futuristic, scientific front area of the park to the old-school, old-world-charm of the World Showcase. I’m not sure what it is about Epcot that makes it so magical, but it hits me in the feels every time.

Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is the youngest of the 4 main Disney parks, and it provides an experience unlike any of the other 3. Of course, it’s centered around animals, but it accentuates two continents that have rich animal variety in particular: Africa and Asia. Walk through what feels like a real Tibetan village to “Mt Everest” or through an African-style marketplace. I feel thrilled to see Disney highlight these cultures that have been more left out in the past. And plus the animals are absolutely gorgeous too.

Water Parks
Disney turned the simple concept of a water park into something, well, magical! There are two water parks: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. In each, the theming and attention to detail are unlike any water park I’ve ever seen. And each feature attractions for the smallest of kids to the most thrill-seeking of adults. OK maybe not the MOST thrill seeking, but you can swim with fish, go down straight plume rides, and try out surfing on an artificial wave!

Dining
Disney dining has become a whole entity unto itself, and many more eloquent and thorough reviews have been done. However, I do want to share with you some of my personal favorites, including some of the iconic Mickey Waffles shown above.
Well, that about covers (almost) everything there is to Walt Disney World. It truly is a whole world, and it would take a lifetime to explore. And even then, things keep changing. It’s such a fun place to experience throughout the years, reveling in the new developments, as well as the nostalgia of the old classics.
What is your favorite part of Disney World? I’d love to hear about it.
